The Pacific Northwest got hit hard by a recent weather event called a "bomb cyclone." The storm brought high winds with knocked out power and internet to many in King County while also causing tremendous damage to local mountain bike trails. Elliott and I volunteered with the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and Sweetlines to help clean up the trails.
Duthie is currently CLOSED, do not come here to ride. It's not safe! In addition to the may tree that lay across trails, there are hanging trees above the trails that could fall at any time. King County is out in full force working to clear trails and pull down the hangers. If you'd like to help, please sign up through Evergreen:

Trail work is fun. Instead of going to the gym or CrossFit, volunteer to help move some trees!
Along with about 10 other volunteers, we made great progress in about 5 hours of work. We worked on the pump track, Honey Badger, Gravy Train, Step It Up, Movin' On, Jabulani, Flying Squirrel, and Luna Lines.
There's still a lot of work that needs to be done before the trails can open safely. Sign up to volunteer!
