My old AC system has been out for 8 years (r-22 efrigerant leak)
I found a good deal on craigslist/marketplace $800 for an R-410a 5 ton system to replace my 3 ton system.
NOTE: IF YOUR AC ISN'T COOLING... BEFORE REPLACING THE WHOLE THING HAVE YOUR EVAPORATOR COIL PROFESIONALLY CLEANED!
A HUNDRED DOLLARS +/- MAY SAVE YOU THOUSANDS!
The system I bought looks like it was replaced due to a simple dirty evaporator... lucky me!
