Born in Memphis and based in New York City, Luisa Wilson is a singer, guitarist, writer, and pianist who makes music for the pessimistic romantics in the world. Hyper self-awareness might be to her personal detriment, but not to her art. Her inner monologue takes the stage as she performs songs that showcase soulful vocals and witty lyricism. The jazz/pop genre in which she thrives is painted with Motown/soul and R&B influences. Evocative, with buoyant melodies and ethereal instrumentation, her music is reminiscent of Olivia Dean, Eloise, Billie Eilish, and RAYE.
