How to Celtic Weave Bookbinding - Step by Step - Part 1

Part 1 - This video covers creating the Celtic weave on the head and tail of my next book from attaching the front cover (or back cover if you desire) to the middle sections. Part 2 video covers adding the last 2 sections and the final cover.

For this Celtic weave binding you will need:

front and back covers
signatures and/or folios
4 threads (2 if only creating one weave)
8 curved needles (4 for one weave)

You will sew in paired stations. For this book, my stations for each Celtic weave are 1.25 inches (3.175 cm) apart. The distance between paired stations on the covers and the signatures or folios must match.
