We started the day with a solid rig and it wasn’t long before the dogs struck hot. After baying the bear twice, we laid eyes on a true southern Utah giant. Things got intense when the dogs got ledged up in a nasty, rocky canyon. I had to climb in and help them through — and once they got loose, it didn’t take long. They caught up fast and locked him down. The pups showed up in a big way and handled business like seasoned hounds. This bear was no joke.
One for the books.
