Cold forging with piercing process simulation || AFDEX 3D || Two-stage

In this video, you will learn how to simulate a two stage cold forging process including a piercing process using isothermal analysis module of AFDEX 3D , the intelligent metal forming simulator.

Since the geometries of the workpiece and the dies are symmetric, we will carry out a 3D simulation of a 30 degree sector of the component.

The material of the workpiece is a steel grade named AISI 1010 and its initial temperature is that of room temperature.

A glimpse of the post-processing options available in AFDEX will also be shown at the end of the video.
