US, France Struck India: Teja Engines, Apache, Rafale halted || Islamabad Files

Islamabad Files examines deeply, the India’s major defence acquisitions have hit multiple setbacks. The United States has reportedly halted the delivery of Apache attack helicopters due to concerns over India’s role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and dual-use technology issues. Three Apaches transported via a Ukrainian An-124 were returned to the US, leaving India’s newly formed 451 Army Aviation Squadron at Jodhpur non-operational.

At the same time, Islamabad Files also analyse the Tejas LCA programme, as it faces fresh delays after the US again restricted GE F404 engine supplies, despite HAL’s recent agreement for 113 additional engines. This may prevent the Indian Air Force from receiving its first full Tejas squadron on schedule.

India’s 5th-generation AMCA project also the focus of Islamabad Files, which remains stalled, while no decision has been made between the US F-35, Russia’s Su-57 or any other possibility of Fifth Gen fighter jet, leaving their own Air Force in jeopardy. Islamabad Files also looking at the Rafale front, France has declined to provide source codes, blocking India’s plan to integrate indigenous Astra and Rudram missiles and delaying the deal for 114 more aircraft. India has also not yet received Meteor missiles, limiting Rafale’s combat potential.
