The Esporles Farm- MALLORCA

The farm that currently occupies the Esporles Farm was already highly valued by the Romans due to the large flow of its spring, and still today has a magnificent natural water jump thirty feet high. It was also of great interest to the Arabs who dominated the island from the 10th to the 13th centuries.
With the Christian conquest of 1229, the estate began its new journey as a feudal possession, until in 1239 it was ceded to the Cistercian monks, who ran it for 200 years, until it passed to D. Mateo Vidal. For another 200 years, this family occupied her until she became Mr. Fortuny. The current owner is the Seguí family.

The Esporles Farm is a mixture of stately and rustic style, since it was used as a stately residence but also as a farm (possessió), reaching more than one hundred trades among its boundaries. This combination of the stately and agricultural world gives La Granja de Eporles a unique charm.

La finca que actualmente ocupa la Granja de Esporles era muy valorada ya por los romanos debido al gran caudal de su manantial, y cuenta aún hoy con un magnífico salto de agua natural de treinta pies de altura. Fue también de gran interés para los árabes que dominaron la isla desde el S. X hasta el XIII.
Con la conquista cristiana de 1229, la finca inicia su nuevo periplo como posesión feudal, hasta que en 1239 fue cedida a los monjes cistercienses, que la regentaron durante 200 años, hasta que pasó a D. Mateo Vidal. Durante otros 200 años dicha familia la ocupó hasta que pasó a los Sres. Fortuny. El actual propietario es la familia Seguí.
La Granja de Esporles es una mezcla de estilo señorial y rústico, puesto que se utilizaba como residencia señorial pero también como explotación agrícola (possessió), llegando a tener más de cien oficios entre sus lindes. Esta combinación del mundo señorial con el agrícola le confiere a La Granja de Eporles un encanto único.
