Dry Bean Breeding & Computational Biology Program, led by Dr. Mohsen Yoosefzadeh Najafabadi, is making a real difference by advancing bean varieties to improve resilience, quality and performance for grower. At the same time the program gave back to the community in 2025 by donating beans that aren’t selected for further breeding to the Guelph Food Bank.
This is innovation with purpose: creating better crops and fostering food security and sustainability with community partners.
