Ben is a lively ten year old boy with bilateral cochlear implants, which he has had since he was two years old. His mum Karen calls him a fish because he loves the water, whether playing in the backyard pool with his brothers or taking part in school swimming competitions. Karen says that the first time Ben was able to hear in the water using the Aqua+ was a very emotional experience for her, comparing it to the time Ben's implants were switched on.
