Practicing Improvisation (Bossa Nova Backing Track in C Major | 110 bpm) (Day 1939 - 1945, Week 279)

Hello all. My name is Steven and I have been playing guitar for over 10 years now. It first started as a hobby then I eventually took it as a career. I graduated from a conservatory as a classical guitarist but it has always been my dream to play jazz, blues, or any other genre with a full knowledge to what I'm playing.

Though you might expect that I should be better than this due to my degree, but to me, improvisation is something that you have to work harder on if it's not your talent to begin with. I don't have perfect pitch, and I'm still not creative enough when improvising. I do know my notes, and my music theory, but as you can see, I still cannot apply all of those straight away on the guitar.

Ever since I graduated in 2017, I completely lost the fire within me to improve, and I'm putting these series of videos out here (starting July 2, 2020) to push myself to practice more and prove that you can always learn a new skill with enough dedication.
