Just finished Trigger’s agent story. And Homecoming hit me hard. How does a mere 40-note melody in G minor craft such profound atmosphere? Had to transcribe it immediately.
Wrote the score in one afternoon (shocking speed!). Originally planned six repetitions with tremolos on the 4th/5th loops… but my right hand’s weak sauce (no tremolo skills 💀). Settled for four loops, each with unique accompaniment. The first three felt bland—adding a high voice on the 4th finally clicked (or maybe shifting octaves saved it).
Started revising while playing that night. Hours later: "I never knew I could hate piano this much" 🥲. Deceptively simple sheet music, but nailing the mood demands insane finger control. Recording this was torture—glad I didn’t go with six loops!
(Side-eye to my crooked camera angle… One day, when I own a BIG HOUSE, I’ll buy pro gear!)
