Hello, and welcome back to another train trip report on my channel.
In this video I will be travelling on-board a Flixtrain from Köln Hbf to Hamburg Hbf.
Flixtrain is the low-cost express rail service, currently running in both Germany and Sweden. It is operated for Flixmobility, who are also responsible for the well known Flixbus services.
The stock and staffing for today's journey is provided by Internationale Gesellschaft für Eisenbahnverkehr (IGE), who run the service in the Flixtrain brand. They use a DB 193 'Vectron' electric locomotive, capable of 200km/h (125mph), hauling five former DB InterRegio carriages which are heavily refurbished.
