The Ultimate Lego Castle (part 1) July 22, 2013

I have decided to start documenting my building of Malako Castle. I started this project back in December 2012, and plan to have it done in the next 3-4 years. I would have it done in a matter of months, but as most of you know... Lego's are a wee bit expensive.
Anyway, I have been a Lego manic for as long as I can remember. I started my first Lego village, Narnyay Gronzel, when I was only 7 or 8 years old. The city continued to grow as I did. And over the next decade, my Lego hobby began to spin out of control. It was in 2000 when I decided to take my Lego city to the next level by devising a plan to build a real, Legoman-sized-castle.

It is now 2013, and with an extra 13 years of Lego Knowledge under my belt, I've decided now is the time to build the Ultimate Lego Castle. This is Malako Castle III, (MC3)
I plan to build over 5 levels along with a working gate and lighting system. Malako castle will have accessible rooms and compartments for play, with lots of fun extras!

In this video you see a sneak peek of the first level before I start installing the ceiling and rafter system. I'm currently working on the lighting situation. I never had an efficient lighting system in my previous two castles, but this time I plan on wiring the whole thing. I'm also working on a way to access the first level in case of any emergency building situations.

Malako Castle is all freestyle building. It is my own creation, not copied or stolen. Please feel free to leave comments or ask questions. :)
