🌿 Magical Winter Garden | Frost, Seedheads & Nature’s Patterns
Winter gardens are full of surprises. In this video, I explore the quiet beauty of frost-covered plants — the shapes, textures, and structures that most traditional gardens would have long since cut away. In the brief hour after sunrise, everything glows, revealing the intricate patterns of seedheads, stems, and leaves that sustain wildlife and protect the soil.
We’ll look at how these winter plants are more than just pretty: they feed birds and small mammals, shelter overwintering insects, and keep the garden ecosystem thriving until spring. It’s a reminder that gardens can be both beautiful and functional year-round.
I also talk a little about botanical plant names and why understanding them adds another layer of wonder to our gardens. If you’d like to learn more, I’m creating a free online course on botanical names — you can join my email list at GardeningMentor.co.uk
to get early access when it’s released.
