A quick test of the new Boss XS-1 Poly Shifter on Bass, trying different approaches:
Playing different notes on bass, but standing in the same key via Transpose
Playing the same note in bass, and transposing the output.
Some slap to check how attack is affected when transposing +-1 semitone
Detune (chorus) mode
0:00 Different notes on bass, same key (Transpose Down)
1:24 Octave Down
2:00 Different notes on bass, same key (Transpose Up)
3:47 Octave Up
4:16 Same note on bass, Transpose Down.
5:00 Same note on bass, Transpose Up.
5:45 Slap
6:18 Detune.
