Brandi Carlile, singer, songwriter, producer, activist, and one of the most formidable voices of her generation, joins us for a long-form conversation on the music game show today. Across a career that spans nearly two decades, Carlile has quietly (and then not so quietly) built a body of work that sits at the intersection of folk, rock, country, and soul.

A multi-GRAMMY Award winner and revered collaborator, Brandi first learned about harmony and rhythm while performing as a backup singer for a friend’s Dad who happened to be an Elvis impersonator. She has now worked with everyone from Joni Mitchell to Elton John, while continuing to carve out a lane entirely her own. Carlile has released seven studio albums including her most recent, the three-time Grammy-winning “In These Silent Days.”
