Πηγές Αχέροντα από ψηλά (Γλυκή Θεσπρωτίας) - Acheron Springs from above (Gliki Thesprotia) Drone 4K

☆ Ο Αχέρων ή Αχέροντας είναι ποταμός της περιφέρειας Ηπείρου 
και διασχίζει τους νομούς Ιωαννίνων, Θεσπρωτίας και Πρεβέζης. Οι πηγές του Αχέροντα είναι πολλές.
Οι πρώτες πηγές προέρχονται από τα χιόνια του όρους Τόμαρος 
στο Νομό Ιωαννίνων  (μέγιστο υψόμετρο 1.986 μέτρα). Άλλες πηγές του προέρχονται από τα όρη Σουλίου 
και τα όρη Παραμυθιάς Θεσπρωτίας.
Πηγές υπάρχουν επίσης, κοντά στο χωριό Γλυκή Θεσπρωτίας. Ο ποταμός Αχέροντας εκβάλλει στο Ιόνιο Πέλαγος,
στο χωριό Αμμουδιά της Πρέβεζας. Εκεί σχηματίζει δέλτα,
από το οποίο διαμορφώνονται τα δύο κύρια έλη της περιοχής:
το έλος της Σπλάντζας και της Βαλανιδορράχης.
Το μήκος του Αχέροντα αγγίζει τα 52 χλμ.
Από τα νερά του αρδεύονται περίπου 85.000 στρέμματα,
από τα οποία 28.000 βρίσκονται στο Νομό Θεσπρωτίας
και 57.000 στο Νομό Πρεβέζης.

Ο Αχέροντας λόγω της παράδοσης και της περιβαλλοντικής αξίας
προσελκύει πλήθος επισκεπτών από τις πηγές έως τις εκβολές.
Εδώ θα βρει κανείς αθλητικές δραστηριότητες όπως Ιππασία,
Rafting, River Trekking, Canoe – Kayak, Τοξοβολία, Zipline
και ποδηλασία κατά μήκος του ποταμού.
Στον περιοχή υπάρχουν επιλογές διαμονής,
φαγητού, καφέ-μπάρ και διασκέδασης.

Ο Αχέροντας ήταν γνωστός και ως Μαυροπόταμος,
Φαναριώτικος ή Καμαριώτικο ποτάμι.
Η Γλυκή είναι ένα πεδινό χωριό της Θεσπρωτίας.
Βρίσκεται κοντά στα σύνορα με την Πρέβεζα.
Οι μόνιμοι κάτοικοι είναι 453. (Απογραφή του 2011)
Η θέση του χωριού είναι ιδανική:
στην ανατολική πλευρά περιβάλλεται από τα Όρη της Παραμυθιάς,
ενώ στη δυτική ξεκινούν μερικές από τις πηγές του Αχέροντα. ☆

♧ Acheron or Acheron is a river in the region of Epirus  and crosses the prefectures of Ioannina, Thesprotia and Preveza. The sources of Acheron are many. The first springs come from the snows of Mount Tomaros  in the Prefecture of Ioannina (maximum altitude 1,986 meters). Other sources of it come from the mountains of Souli  and the mountains of Paramythia Thesprotia. Springs also exist near the village of Glyki Thesprotias.

The Acheron River flows into the Ionian Sea, in the village of Ammoudia of Preveza. There it forms a delta, from which the two main marshes of the area are formed: the marsh of Splantza and Valanidorrachis. The length of the Acheron reaches 52 km. About 85,000 acres are irrigated from its waters, of which 28,000 are in the Prefecture of Thesprotia and 57,000 in Preveza Prefecture.

The Acheron because of tradition and environmental value attracts multitudes of visitors from the springs to the estuary. Here you will find sports activities such as Horse Riding, Rafting, River Trekking, Canoe – Kayak, Archery, Zipline and cycling along the river. In the area there are accommodation options, food, cafe-bar and entertainment. Acheron was also known as Mavropotamos, Phanariotikos or Kamariotikos river.

Glyki is a lowland village of Thesprotia. It is located near the border with Preveza. The permanent residents are 453. (2011 Census) The location of the village is ideal: on the eastern side it is surrounded by the Paramythia Mountains, while in the west begin some of the springs of the Acheron.☆
