This is an experiment I did to reshape an Epiphone headstock to look like a Gibson shape. I don't have a problem with the Epiphone logo, just the shape. The guitar had some knocks and scrapes anyway so it didn't seem too much of a risk, and it turned out pretty well.
The guitar plays well after some more work involving reshaping the neck to make it slimmer, some work on a couple of fret ends where the strings were getting caught and a DIY Earvana type compensated nut to try to get the thing to play in tune.
