Pentagon presents Trump with wide range of options for Iran attack, U.S. source tells New York Times
The Pentagon presented U.S. President Donald Trump with a wide range of options for a strike in Iran, including the possibility of attacking parts of its nuclear program, a senior American source told the New York Times tonight.
The source qualified the statement by noting that the more likely options at this stage are pinpointed, such as a cyberattack or a strike against Iran's internal security apparatus, which violently suppresses protests in the country. According to the official, any such attack is "a few days away," while Trump, who according to other officials is simultaneously exploring diplomatic avenues, is expected to receive a briefing on the military options today.
