All valuations were correct at the time of broadcast. This form of carving table was virtually invented, or certainly promoted, in 1770 by Robert Adam who was a Scottish architect. It was treasured in this gentleman's family for over 200 years and is recognised for its shallow fluted columns inspired by ancient Greece.
