This horizontal, figure-8, duelling coaster that was the first of its kind in the world has closed, but we wanted it on our channel because we had filmed it prior to closure. We only rode it once but it was so memorable because this man a few rows back dropped so many f-bombs and was freaking out. 😂
Tidal Twister accelerated to 30 miles per hour, riders twisted and banked as if they are riding the tide along a tight, figure-8 track that included a Zero-G roll at the centre section. Two trains holding 16 passengers each loaded at opposite ends of the figure-8 and crossed in the centre with guests facing both forward and backward on the trains. A lower-height requirement of 48 inches made this attraction a good ride for younger guests and families.
We heard it closed for mechanical reasons and it did seem SBNO whenever we were at the park. Happy to ride it at least once. Felt like a carnival ride and was actually pretty fun.
