Technique Tuesday: Creating an Applique in IQ Designer / My Design Center

Michelle shows how to create an applique in IQ Designer / My Design Center easily! She brings an image of a teapot into the machine through the USB port, crops the image, selects colors and uses her eraser function to clean up the extra dots that will become stitches.

Pro tip: Remember to save your cleaned up image to the machine! Follow Michelle's instructions with your image and you'll be creating applique like a pro!

Michelle shows how to heat press the patch attach and why it's important to use a little more than needed to get the edges down. So much easier and less messy than glue!

Pro tips: Warm up the blank to "get it ready to attach". And iron it from the front AND THE BACK to get a permanent seal.
