Vice President JD Vance called for a new era of collaboration between India and the US, positioning the South Asian nation as a key partner of the Trump administration at a time when it is resetting relationships with allies around the world.
In remarks delivered during a four-day trip to India, Vance pushed for stronger ties between New Delhi and Washington across a range of areas from energy to defense. He also highlighted the progress the two sides have made on a bilateral trade deal that they aim to seal by fall of this year.
“This is very much a win-win partnership,” Vance said in Jaipur on Tuesday. “The future of the 21st century is going to be determined by the strength of the United States and India partnership.”
