Tony Crosland, a minister in the Labour government, is sent to Newcastle to campaign in the 1970 general election.
He is mis-introduced as Dick Crossman, a different Cabinet minister. It seems that his events were poorly advertised, with just a dozen attending his first talk initially. His second appears to consist of shouting at women across an empty road while they do their shopping.
