When I heard they were talking about doing a remake I thought "what was wrong with the original one?". I Initially wanted to do this edit for myself because I loved what Confidential Music did with the cover of "Cherry Bomb" for the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer. I couldn't find a clean version of the cover so I worked with the audio from the trailer itself. This inhibited me from fitting some plot points and better story setup due to the nature of the cut. I almost abandoned it because I didn't think I could make a trailer that explained enough of the story but I said fuck it and lets see.
I would like to credit the original Sound designers and trailer editor for this version. I wish I knew their names. It acted as a guide and I can't really take a whole lot of credit for the edit because I'm using someone else's pacing as a road map.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this modern trailer take on a cult classic and a childhood favorite of mine. Thanks for watching!!!
