In this video, I show you how to use soap nuts to cleanse your hair. Easy & effective!

↠How To Make Soap Nut Shampoo↞
(Everyone's hair is different, so feel free to experiment)
•10 Soap nuts in the muslin bag (comes with your order)
•2.5 cups of water
•Boil on high 10 mins, simmer on med-high 20 mins.
•Let liquid cool so you can comfortably touch it. Temp doesn't matter but warm liquid can feel better than icy cold on your scalp.
•Squeeze as many suds as possible out from the muslin bag. The soap nuts become squishy when boiled.
•Put aside the bag of soap nuts in a little bowl and save for next time.
•Put the liquid in a big bowl.
•Put bowl in your tub.
•Dip your hair/head in to saturate all your hair from scalp to tip.
•Use a little cup to pour it over your hair and back into the bowl so none is wasted.
•Loosely wrap your hair in a towel and let sit for 15 mins.
•Take a shower or rinse your hair thoroughly with water.
•Pat dry with towel or tshirt.
•Let air dry rest of way. Voila!
NOTES:
•You can either use the liquid plain or put it in a bottle to shake it/blend in a blender/etc. to make into a thick foam, but that's your preference and doesn't affect how well it cleans your hair.
•You can adjust the soap nut: water ratio. I think my water is a little hard, and I let my hair get very oily on purpose before I wash it, so I use 10 nuts to 2.5 cups water.
•While boiling, some steam is lost so you end up with probably only 2 cups of liquid in the end.
•The same nuts can be re-used 4 to 5 times! Keep using until they lose their color.
•Soap nuts can also be used as a laundry detergent and dish detergent if hand washing.
•If you find that it leaves your hair feeling "tacky" or "heavy" at all, then your ratio may not be strong enough. Try adding a few additional soap nuts. Less soap nuts are needed for soft water and/or if you have super short hair.
•The whole washing process usually takes me about 1 hour total. Of course, as it boils, feel free to multitask and get other stuff done to make good use of that time! Good luck!
