The days are long, the work is tough, but every step brings us closer to our dream. In this episode, we prepare the ground inside the cabin for a concrete slab—laying the foundation (literally) for the heart of our home: the fire stove. It’s one of the most physically demanding phases so far, but also deeply fulfilling.
As the kids explore the land and the rain falls softly around us, we find small moments of joy in the chaos. And just when we need it most, we take a break—a few restful days at a nearby cottage to reset, recharge, and imagine what Kemp’s Lodge will one day become.
