Bathukamma is a colorful and vibrant floral festival celebrated predominantly in the Indian state of Telangana. The word "Batukamma" is derived from two Telugu words, "Batuku" meaning "life" and "Amma" meaning "mother." This festival is dedicated to Goddess Bathukamma, who is considered the symbol of life and the patron goddess of womanhood. Bathukamma usually falls during the Hindu festival of Navratri and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion.
