This exercise was introduced to me by my mentor Paul Chek. I believe this is one of the most fundamental exercises that you can do because it snuffs out so many weak points that need to be worked on, challenges your posterior chain (glutes, lower back, hamstrings, calves), and works your core in the frontal (sideways) plane.
