Woman shares her ordeal of FGM in the UK - 5 News

Female genital mutilation is a highly dangerous, abusive practice that affects millions of girls all over the world.

FGM is mostly associated with parts of Africa, Asia and the Middle East, but harrowing stories have emerged of British girls being sent abroad and forced under the knife.

For years, police have suspected that it is going on in the UK too, and for the first time, a woman has spoken exclusive to 5 News about her ordeal here.
