This video is all about the 3D Printed Parts (composite layup molds and flying parts). I'll go over the typical print settings used, features designed into the molds, print bed orientation, axis skew, and then prepare the molds for the layups.
Typical 3D Print Settings:
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Line width: 0.4 mm
Wall thickness: 0.8 mm
Top thickness: 0.6 mm
Bottom thickness: 0.4 mm
Top/bottom pattern: Lines
Infill density: 4%
Infill pattern: Grid
Print temp: 210 degrees C
Build plate temp: 50 degrees C
Print speed: 50 mm/s
Infill speed: 50 mm/s
Wall speed: 35 mm/s (decrease to 30mm/s to remove corner bulging)
Top/bottom speed: 30 mm/s
Initial layer speed: 20 mm/s
Retraction: 4 mm distance @ 20 mm/s
Combing mode: All
Build plate adhesion: 4mm Brim
