Gdansk and Oliva – A Musical Promenade through Bruno Gröning's Hometown

Bruno Gröning was born in 1906, during the time of the German Empire. He was born in Oliva near Gdansk, a part of Western Prussia at the time. He lived in the city on the Baltic Sea until 1943. This clip brings together impressions of places of interest in Gdansk, including beautiful montages of buildings where Gröning lived. It is accompanied by the orchestral music "Oliva" by B.P., which was inspired by the film score to the documentary film THE PHENOMENON BRUNO GRÖNING (   • The PHENOMENON BRUNO GROENING – docum...  ), and is dedicated to Gröning's time in Gdansk. The clip is completed with footage from a conference of the Bruno Gröning Circle of Friends at the Gdansk University in 2007 and the visit of the friends to Bruno Gröning's childhood home. It was the last conference led by Grete Häusler, the founder of the Circle of Friends. Ten days later she died at the age of 85.
