Advanced Autorotations in the Cabri G2 Helicopter - Guimbal FI Factory Course

A video diary from my Guimbal Helicopters, 'Flight Instructors (FI) Factory Course' at the Cabri G2 manufacturer's base in beautiful Aix-En-Provence. This is a condensed edit of my experience from the course, it is in no way sponsored by Guimbal and I have received no financial reward for publishing it. I found the course to be a comprehensive and valuable learning experience for someone that teaches on the Cabri and I would definitely recommend it to other instructors.

The course started with a factory tour. I witnessed the production process firsthand, which provided a deeper understanding of the helicopter's innovative design and advanced technology.

Following the factory tour was a one-on-one, 4 hr detailed ground seminar with Laurent, the factory pilot. This theoretical component covered advanced topics essential for safe flight instruction, specific to the Cabri G2.

The highlight of the course was obviously the practical flying element delivered by Laurent. Under his guidance we delved into the handling characteristics of the helicopter during advanced manoeuvres whilst taking in the beautiful landscapes of Aix-en-Provence.

While the program required a significant financial investment, the combination of the factory tour, the theoretical instruction and the practical flight training made it an incredible experience and a great adventure.
