Online Quilting Bee Skill Builder 2020 Block 1 with On Williams Street

We are so excited for this years Skill Builder Quilt Along. We have curated 12 unique quilt blocks that all focus on a different technique or skill. We will start out more simple and increase the level of difficulty as we go. Subscribe to our channel so you don't miss any of the videos.

When you sew along, you'll have opportunities to learn and improve in applique, foundation paper piecing, y-seams, pieces cut on the bias, strip piecing, and so much more. Watch your confidence grow as you sew along. On the first Wednesday of each month throughout 2020, we'll post a new block with instructions on how to complete it. By the end of the year, you'll have a gorgeous sampler quilt to showcase off all your new skills.

This month we are creating a fun and easy star quilt block using quarter square triangles. We share tips on how to get them to line up and trim them accurately so you have perfect points. Since it's an easy block, really take the time to focus on accurate seams. Learning how to accomplish this now will help with more complicated blocks in the future.
