I modified my gope repinique to use a snare wire with a lay-off lever, so it can double as a snare (caixa) or a repinique as required.
I had to cut a slot in the black steel hoop for the snare ribbon to pass through, and I had to drill holes in the aluminium barrel of the drum to attach the lay-off and butt-end hardware pieces which clamp the snare ribbon.
