My intentions were clear with the race and my training leading up to it proves that. I approached the race as i would any other, lots of time on the bike, riding at random times of the day as i would be out for in the race and also going through the route before hand to be familiar with whats to come.
The race mostly played out as i wanted it to, but my fueling ended up being my biggest enemy and it caused me to slow down a bit to the end so taking the record was off the cards but I still managed to pull of the win.
I made a move going into the first climb of the day jumping on the wheel of the only e-bike on course and this move panned out and the gap just kept growing.I rode a very meticulous race and managed myself well enough to stay strong enough to keep my ever growing lead untill the end. Riding a solo 400km stretch is never easy but I backed myself and kept in a positive mindset.
