KshetRun Season 3 - Episode 1 | Sri Rajagopala Swamy Temple | Mannargudi

KshetRun is back with Season 03!
This season is centered around temples in Thanjavur and Kumbakonam, and for the first time, we come full circle by including one of Indian Classical Art's non-separable, Bharatnatyam, also in the mix!

Episode 1 - Mannargudi x Bhairavi

While we at KshetRun always try to bring in a mix of themes, Mannargudi and Bhairavi seem to have a natural connection. We were hence inspired to bring together what we love about Bhairavi and what inspired us at the brilliant Rajagopalaswamy Temple. Add to it the rich tradition of music in temples, we also decided to explore the unique locales of the enormous campus, and juxtapose its serenity with Kshetrayya's intense lyrics. Experience this and much more in Episode 1!

This episode is dedicated to the famous Danseuse, the Late Lakshmi Vishwanathan for all the love she had towards Mannargudi Rajagopalaswamy and for bringing many of the compositions on that temple to Dance.
