Windows 11 Canary build 25982 and what's new - Copilot at last!

Happy Wednesday, Canary Channel - Germanium build 25982 is here.

With today's build, the preview of Copilot in Windows is now rolling out to Canary! It's a gradual rollout so some Insiders may not see it right away. It also has improvements from the Dev Channel that aren't present in other channels including Copilot in Alt+Tab (when open) and an animated taskbar icon.

Delivery optimization settings have also been updated with all settings on the main page in collapsed sections instead of being in separate pages. However, the updated page is only accessible through search for now. There's also an update to the show accent color on Start and taskbar toggle that more clearly shows the setting is meant only for dark mode.

More enhancements include client side discovery of network-designated resolvers (DNR) support, SMB client encryption updates, ReFS block cloning support now being available in the copy engine and more. You can read more about these improvements in the blog post. There are also some fixes including a fix for File Explorer hangs.
