JD Vance Welcomed to India for Four-Day Visit

An elaborate ceremony with colorfully-dressed dancers and decorated elephants was held in Jaipur, India, as US Vice President JD Vance, his wife Usha, and their three children visited on Tuesday.

Vance called for a new era of collaboration between India and the US, positioning the South Asian nation as a key partner of the Trump administration at a time when it is resetting relationships with allies around the world.

In remarks delivered during a four-day trip to India, Vance pushed for stronger ties between New Delhi and Washington across a range of areas from energy to defense. He also highlighted the progress the two sides have made on a bilateral trade deal that they aim to seal by fall of this year.
