Synopsis:
In the quiet of the night, bells ring out like an ancestral call in a liturgical act where songs are dedicated to the Virgin Mary and to the souls of the departed, evoking another time. This choreographic performance draws inspiration from the "Campanas de Auroros" (brotherhoods of devoted singers from Murcia’s rural tradition who perform salves and other folk chants during specific times of the year). Their main ritual, the despierta, takes place from midnight until dawn, when they sing accompanied only by the sound of a bell. Through the expressive languages of Spanish dance, folklore and flamenco, reimagined from a contemporary perspective, "Auroro" transforms this ancient devotion into a living, physical, and emotional ritual on stage.
