FULL PRESSER: Trump on latest economy, energy, crime crackdown speech in Iowa

One year into his second term as President and Donald Trump is making another trip to Iowa. He's scheduled to speak at an event Tuesday in Central Iowa.

We're expecting him to talk about energy and the economy.

"Iowans voted overwhelmingly to return President Trump to the White House to lower costs for families, to secure the border, and to bring down crime," Sen. Chuck Grassley said. "Since then, Republicans have been delivering on those promises."


However, Congress's failure to pass legislation for year-round E15 lead two Iowa groups to ask for the president's help in getting it passed.

The Iowa Corn Growers Association and Iowa's Renewable Fuels Association sent an open letter to the president.
