After two days of waiting the ‘Duke Of Gloucester’ finally moves a considerable distance under its own power.
The Duke doesn’t sound 100% but it was very nice to see it moving under its own power again.
During the video you can see the second smoke deflector being fitted to the locomotive and as I was leaving nameplates were also being fitted.
The loco still needs some work doing to it but I’m sure the Severn Valley Railway, LSL and The BR Class 8 Steam Locomotive Trust crews will get the locomotive back to full working order.
