We routinely provide flowrate, leak testing, pipe scanning and meter calibration services. Fast, accurate, and cost effective, our technology will help you determine the flow of vapour, build-up of sludge and other fouling materials in process piping or flarelines.
The technology we use to analyse pipeline deposits is quick and non-intrusive. The results enable you to plan cleaning efficiently and minimise downtime.
We pass a PhaseFinder device along the bottom of the pipe. By detecting changes in hydrogen density, this indicates where the solid deposits are.
We also use other methods to analyse deposits. We can work out the thickness of a deposit by carrying out horizontal and vertical gamma scans, and comparing the different radiation counts.
And we can produce a detailed density map of pipeline deposits using advanced tomography scanning.
We can also use a gamma scan to monitor slugs in your pipes. We place gamma sources and detectors and measure the signal intensity at two different points. Because the intensity changes when a slug passes, this lets us calculate how fast slugs are moving, and how frequent they are.
We can also use our proven tracer technology to make relia7ble, accurate calculations of the flow rate in your pipes. This tells you how fast fluid is flowing through your pipe by measuring how long it takes the tracer to move between two different points.
Our flow study uses tracers to let you find out where excess gas is entering a flare system, and work out its volume. By measuring how fast gas is moving through your flare lines, we can also verify your data, so you can have confidence that it’s accurate.
When we measure the tracer intensity at different points in the system, we find that the velocity increases after unit 2, indicating that excess vapour is entering here.
Knowing this, we then move on to investigate unit 2 in a similar way.
By finding out where the gas velocity increases, we can pinpoint the source of the leak.
