Ali Akbar, according to some sources, was the eldest son of Husayn ibn Ali (a). He was a youth aged 18, while some narrations quote his age as 24. the first of the Hashmites to go, Ali fought valiantly on the plains of Karbala until he met his death - leaving his father to meet his great grandfather, the Holy Prophet (s), whom he resembled the most.
