Wild Borneo | Danum Valley | Birds and Wildlife of Borneo Rainforest Lodge | Malaysia 2024

Orangutan, red leaf monkey and leopard cat are examples of the many mammels and plentiful wildlife present in the Danum Valley. The Danum Valley Conservation Area spans over 438 km2 in the province of Sabah. The closest nearby town of Lahad Datu is 100km away from the Borneo Rainforest Lodge and it takes over 2.5 hours driving over mostly gravel road to reach the lodge. The Danum Valley is home to over 270 different species of birds, some of them endemic to Borneo.

Welcome to our birding and wildlife safari to Danum Valley in Borneo (Malaysia) in July 2024. We stayed six nights at the beautiful Borneo Rainforest Lodge.
