like my disney/big idea 2002-2018 AU Timeline, what if Disney distributes Funimation's DVDs and VHSs and eventually Blu-Rays instead of Funimation's distribution partners Sentai Filmworks, Viz Media, Discotek Media, Aniplex of America, United Kingdom's Anime Limited, and Funimation themselves, and it's even before the eventual sony buyout of Funimation in 2017 and Crunchyroll in 2021, when 2018 hits Disney eventually co-distributes with Sony, it lasted until 2024 when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment handles full distribution (hence why it ends the same way)

for some, a blessing and a curse. for all, Disney's weird (and presumably wild) step towards mature content even before Pirates even began (yeah imagine Disney going edgy before Pirates lol this is prob why Eisner left)

also Funimation is NOT owned by Disney btw, it's handled the same way that Universal originally did with DreamWorks Home Entertainment until Paramount happened
