Psalm 119:169–176, The Shepherd Who Seeks His Wandering Sheep

📖 Walking Through the Psalms | Psalm 119:169–176
In today’s episode, we reach the final stanza of Psalm 119 — a beautiful, honest, and hope-filled prayer from a heart shaped by Scripture. After 21 stanzas of longing, delighting, clinging, wrestling, hoping, and persevering in the Word of God, the psalmist ends with a cry of dependance upon the Good Shepherd.
In Psalm 119:169–176, we see:
• A cry for understanding.
• A plea for deliverance.
• Praise shaped by Scripture.
• Dependence under pressure.
• A confession of wandering and a cry for pursuit.
This passage reminds us that true maturity is dependence, not independence — and that Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, never stops seeking, sustaining, and restoring His people.
