How to Safely Transfer Using the Lumex LF1600:

Position the Lift: Place the lift in front of the seated resident. Make sure to lock the casters to prevent movement.
Assist to Stand: Have the resident step onto the platform and use the handholds to pull themselves up to a standing position.
Seat the Resident: Unfold the seat cushions, and have the resident sit down while holding onto the handrail for support during the transfer.
Optional Buttocks Strap: For added security, an optional buttocks strap can be used. Attach the strap to the lift frame using the loops, place it behind the resident’s buttocks, and secure it on the opposite side of the frame.
Complete the Transfer: Reverse the procedure to safely return the resident to a seated position or transfer them to another surface.
