📚Description: In Mike Slubowski's "The Road to '59" article in Vintage Guitar Magazine, he wrote about one-off, pearl plaque reissues that were done before the formal 1983 Prehistoric Reissues after the KM and during the production of the Heritage 80 Series. These featured more "59" specs like an ABR-1, but lacked an inked serial number - but instead had a pearl "reg. no." placque on the back of the headstock. Gibson only used those on high end archtops like Citations and "The Les Pauls" so it really goes to show you just how highly Gibson Kalamazoo thought of these new "reissue."

How many were made? We're not sure. This might've been a custom dealer run - but 100% of the story has yet to be discovered about these
